Travel Tuesday Wishlist – St Barts in the Caribbean
Having recently returned from an AMAZING trip on board Seadream II in the Caribbean, one of my favourite places on the trip has to have been the island of St. Barts (full name St. Barthelemy) It’s so green and pretty with beautiful white sandy caribbean beaches. We hired a car (a bit hairy on the legendary hills of the island so don’t do this if you’re a nervous driver!) and travelled down to a couple of beaches (there are more than 20 in total). Pictured below is my favourite of the two we visisted (despite the airstrip that lies directly on the beach – it has to be seen to be believed) – St. Jean.

Hi my name is Emma Butler, I'm Marketing Director and Owner of

St. Barts is indeed a beautiful place. I have been to the island a couple of times to do business and to enjoy a nice vacation with the kids. A lot of my friends on the island say that living in St. Barths is easy; making a living is not, especially for the non-native. Most newcomers come to the island in search of opportunity, lured by descriptions in the popular press of a tax-free tropical paradise where well-heeled vacationing fools shower money on every uplifted palm. Most are doomed to disappointment. What’s your opinion?
