Thailand & Greece Holidays: Latest Foreign Office advice

Update 23rd May:

Thailand: After a number of violent incidents on 19th May the FCO continues to advise against all travel to the city of Bangkok.  The situation is stated as ‘highly unpredictable’ with violence still likely.  Check travel advice and media reports before travelling.

Latest update from the Foreign Office advises the following for Thailand and Greece for UK holidaymakers:

Thailand:

Following a small explosion on the 9th May, the Foreign Office advises  against “all travel to specific parts of Thailand” and “ against all but essential travel to other specific parts of Thailand, including Bangkok.”  The political situation is described as unpredictable especially in areas such as Pattaya and central Bangkok. 

Greece:

No travel restrictions currently in place although travellers are advised that plans may be disrupted by strikes especially during May.

    Well I have just return from the amazing holidays from Greece and would like to tell you to GO to Greece this year first, things are cheaper this year, Greeks are even more friendly than usual and very welcome!!! Yes there were some strikes but if you are lucky you wont have any problem! Greece is a paradise!
